Monday is doing a crazy thing

Hey girls.

Sorry, you're not going to get a lot from me this week, and probably not next week, either, as life is currently packing, family reunion, and major freaking out.

Guys, I need all the positive energies and good thoughts and reassurances you can muster because I'm getting a little terrified by my own daring at this point. I'm packing up a solid, comfortable life here in Bowling Green, uprooting myself, going someplace where I have no job, no apartment, no guarantee that I'll find and be able to afford either, and the only person I'll know is Maggie. I vacillate every day between confidence and utter panic that I'm making a horrible decision.

So . . . yeah. That's life right now, and next Monday is moving day, and . . . this is the craziest thing I've ever done.

  1. Deep breaths, Cassie. If anyone knows anxiety and panic, it's definitely me, so feel free to call or text if you're having issues getting out of those darker moments. Remember that we love you and that we will be here to help in any way we can.

For now, concentrate on what you DO have in the Washington area. You'll be living with Maggie, so you won't be a homeless person living in a box on the street. Maggie has an active social life from what she says, so if you go with her, you may find some added support and friendship. Maybe you'll fall into that same circle, or maybe you'll branch off into your own. No matter what, again, we are always here, and thankfully technology has made that a lot easier. And Chase will be there soon. Everything is going to be okay.

I love you. Let me know if you need anything.

  2. Solid and comfortable may be easy, but it doesn't move mountains. Just think of all the new opportunities you'll be exposed to in your new life. Besides, who wants to live their whole life in small town Ohio anyway?! As someone who mostly has, I'm telling you - GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!

Of course, I understand your fears. 5 weeks seems awfully short to be packing up all my crap and getting everything in order. I'm sure ill be just as much of a mess as you are. Just remember that it will all work out, ok?
